Requesting Commissions
At Baad Hatter, I absolutely understand that reaching out to an artist for a commission can feel a bit daunting! But I genuinely want to connect with you and create something unforgettable and meaningful for you or your loved one. I’m thrilled to take on commissions for nearly any kind of wool felted fiber art, whether it’s stunningly wearable coats and dresses or whimsical hats, captivating sculptures, heartfelt pet memorials, or vibrant portraits! My previous commissions have included a delightful array of pet replicas, breathtaking portraits, artistic recreations, stylish coats, elegant dresses, and charming historical hats. To request a commission and get a quote, just fill out the form below, and share your amazing idea with me! I’ll be thrilled to follow up with a quote and a timeline, and then we can take it from there! Remember, commissions are not as unreachable as you might think – the prices totally depend on the type and complexity of the fantastic work you envision!

FAQs
How do I ask for a commission? I'm anxious!
It can feel intimidating to contact an artist for commissioned work, but there's no need to worry! Just fill out the form above and let us know your interest. I've made all kinds of commissions for people, from giant hats to pet parrot replicas, two-headed llamas and strange historic hats. I love unusual requests!
How long does it take?
Commission completion varies, but most commissions require at least one month. Please allow ample time for creation and shipping before your item is required.
Can I see previous work?
Yes! You are welcome to visit my gallery page, or to reach out and ask for examples of specific types of work.
What is the payment method?
Commissioned item pricing depends on the complexity of the work. I will work with you to meet your budget needs. Once we have agreed on the terms of your commissioned item, I will send you an invoice requesting half of the total commission price up front as a deposit. The deposit is non-refundable unless I fail to produce the work. Once the work is complete, I will communicate with you via email and photographs of the finished item. Final payment will be due at that time. Failure to pay within 30 days of completion results in the forfeiture of your deposit, and I retain the right to list the item for general sale.
Can I request changes after I order?
Some changes may be accommodated, but major changes may not be possible. Please note that commissions are non-refundable.
Do you take rush orders?
Rush orders are considered based on availability.
